The Big Day

Today we should close escrow on the new place. It's been a tense few days, as the title company in Stockton has been somewhat less than speedy getting things handled, which was beginning to make everybody up here nervous (as in "If we don't close today the people from whom we're buying our new place will lose the house they're buying in the Tri-Cities!") Yes, the agent in the Tri-Cities is a poo-head, but that's a separate issue.

By the end of today we should be the proud owners of a 5-acre "ranch". The Roths will start moving out on Friday and be totally out by the 20th. Then I start painting. The Pepto-Bismol pink walls (and ceiling: yes) in the bedrooms is going away before one stick of furniture is moved in.

I'm glad we feel the same way about pink walls... As much as I love the color (in small doses) I couldn't look at it every day either! Glad you're still in good spirits; I know this moving stuff isn't fun. HUGS!

Alrighty. But don't you want to crawl into a corner for a week and just sleep? Painting?!?! Gack!

So, Roy ... are you saying you don't like to paint?

I'm sure by the 20th they'll be all rested up and ready. :o)

Charlotte, I like to paint, but it's keeping the paint off me and the floors that is the problem.

It's just soooo much easier to paint an empty room. That pink really really needs to go away. Far away. What were they thinking? "Hey, honey, it'll be like sleeping inside an empty bottle of calamine lotion...!"

I wonder if the paint faded over the years, I can't conceive of anybody intentionally painting a wall that color. Any idea what you're going to paint it? Hopefully not "landlord white".
